Not a single crave today :)

Just heading to bed, having made my nightly visit to this forum and realised that I didn't crave today. If I did have one, it must have been so fleeting that I don't even remember. I did eat two bars of chocolate and a bag of crisps (I don't really like chocolate bars either, feeling a tad sicky with them lol)

Happy days :)

That is great Ananke! No craves and only 2 chocolate bars!! Why do I have this sinking feeling your bag of crisps was just a single serving and not actually a family sized bag like I had:o

WOW, What a great smoke free day, I so hope today is as good for you.

Never mind the chocolate, well done you my friend

Great feeling when you realise you haven't craved all day. You will get more and more days like this. Well done

.........lemon meringue pie is the business.........just sayin' .............

Now, I don't know if it's because other men are not admitting to this or they just don't have it. I have always had a sweet tooth, from being tiny. Liked my cakes and puddings. And I have blitzed out on puddings and any opportunity to have a chocolate cookie or the like. On one day over the last long weekend, I had three puddings in one day; two were ones that I ordered at lunch and dinner, and one was two thirds of a companion's, who didn't want. However, I reckon that's my peak point as far as sweet things go, and my friends all went off to smoke and I didn't. I do not want to replace the nicotine and friends habit for a sugar one, which is what's happening at the moment. So, I'm getting ready to take control of that.................................alcohol (yes I know full of sugar) can wait, as it's much more enjoyable than cake........hm.

I'm already overweight and can't afford to put too much on so can't go substituting cigs for puds either. I'm planning on giving myself until the end of week 4 and the pudding stuff stops. I've been munching my way through fruit today but gave in and made pancakes tonight, they were soooo yummy lol.

I got myself a fancy smoothie maker (well, I nicked it off the man in my life) and I'm just whizzing smoothies all day long now, has helped a lot. Problem is, I'm well aware this fancy gadget could easily make double-decker milkshakes...it's only a matter of time!

I do like this series of posts. I can appreciate completely. Bang the weight on if need be. I have and it's okay. I actually look healthier with a bit more weight but I'm not really as I'm going for the sweet stuff.

Ananke, I like your thinking. Limit the window in which it's okay to sub cigs with pudding, then start addressing that. I have given myself a free rein in relation to substitutes for cigarettes. Mine is sweet things and alcohol. I'm only now ready to start addressing my pudding substitute. The alcohol? That will be next. Do you do exercise/physical stuff of any kind?

Really glad to hear someone else is drinking a lot - me too! I know lots of people are avoiding alcohol but I like the treat feeling of having a drink and a bit of a boost - I'll probably see you next year on the AA website ha ha! :)

I saw this a couple of days ago and meant to come back to acknowledge. V funny, made me laugh Hattie. I've been to an AA meeting, honestly it was for professional research, really, and it was choked with people smoking!

I could probably do to go to an AA meeting not for professional reasons! Then a sweet stuff anonymous, then a sports addict anonymous..............would like to just get near to that last one. It won't happen.

Haha Hattie you'll need to sign me up too, I don't think I'm drinking any more, but now I really look forward to it :0)

Too funny Hattie!! although a lot is a relative term :o I can say I certainly don't avoid drinking and yes probably having more than usual but - I'm with Jillibean - I look forward to it, found it helps fill that void a bit . Come to think of it its almost 5:00 here:p

Sorry Ananke to hijack your thread:o

Woop! Cheers! I'm raising a virtual one to you all :) hic

LMAO!!!

Hijack away.

I've been avoiding alcohol (and I like my booze) because the only good quit I've ever had ended one night when I bought a couple of bottles of wine and a pack of cigs (because it was dead easy quiting that time, so I'd just smoke that night and stop in the morning...HA!!!) Can't even blame it on being drunk, I planned it.

I can't drink right now anyway, there isn't a timely enough gap between aero and chunky kitkat to get any down.

Walkabout, I have an allotment and a dog so yeah, some fair weather excercise but I'll need to hike that up to get these extra pounds off, i've only put on 6 and a half pounds but I feels like a few stone.

Anyway, I'm away to pack up my gear and move into week 4 :)

I'll have to remember that - areo and kitkats as an aid to quit drinking

Que, it's the only way to go lol.

Seriously though, this eating is out of hand. I've not been doing much at the allotment or long walks in the woods with the dog because of the horrible wet weather we've been having so I bought a fitness hula hoop today and i'm gonna hoop my a$$ into shape:)

On the plus side though, still not craving cigs.

Yeah I know what you mean - I have eaten everything in sight, and its gotta stop:D Almost killed my husband the other night, when he asked me if I actually ate all the leftovers within minutes after dinner:eek: Poor guy you think by now, he would have learned when to just keep his mouth shut:)

Good luck with the hoopin' and glad your not craving:) I'm not either, but found this week to be little harder with stupid junkie thoughts. They don't last long, but sometimes make me a little cranky:(
