Another day achieved...................and still Male

nsd_user663_58050 profile image

So, just to say I've reached 66 days this evening at 6:00pm. I'm celebrating by changing my image. That's me in all my maleness - I'm just having a little joke with a couple of people who thought I was female (by which I was not offended :D). This is me. I'm the one in the shorts and T shirt.

Ha, another person. Although I'm stereotyping now, I'm going to become monosyllabic.

Ha! That's awesome :) Does this mean that you're also NOT Australian?

66 days, well done chum x

PS I ran just over 5k yesterday :) C25K rocks! (sudden self doubt - it was you that was running too wasn't it?!)

I originate from Yorkshire! But have lived in London for a long time.

Yes, it is me that's doing the C25K. I'm just going into week 6. That is excellent though; you must be really happy to have achieved 5k. How far through the programme are you?

Definitely not aussie then! I like your picture, by the way :)

I couldn't believe I'd actually managed 5k! I got to the end of the programme at the end of last week, and ran another 5.6k today to prove it wasn't a fluke. Just need to keep it up now till July when the Race for Life rolls around...hmm...

It got suddenly much harder towards the last week - but that might have been because i was also pushing myself to run faster (I'm stupidly competitive, but only against myself!).

Keep on trucking manly friend!

That is so impressive. So well done. Are you planning on following up using another programme like faster 5k or the 10k running app? Or simply doing on your own without the guiding app? I've still got 3 weeks of the c25k to go. I start finding it particularly challenging with 8+ minute runs at a stretch. My breathing had become worse, or I notice its restriction more since I quit.

I found I really had to push through those weeks when the run started getting longer too. I had SO much excess energy from quitting though, that really helped. I repeated a few runs... That's what I love about this app - you can take it at your own pace so easily :)

I'm not sure if I can dedicate the time to learning to run longer distances - it's quite hard enough finding 35 spare minutes for 5k... I'd like to try 10k one day, though...

The Race for Life people have decided to only have the 10k event I hear :0(

I'm joking!!!! The 5k is still there.Yes, I repeated some days the first time I did it and that strategy is beckoning me again.

Ha! That's awesome :) Does this mean that you're also NOT Australian?
