week 2: Best day so far. Had the usual... - No Smoking Day
week 2
Well done Chloe, see it is getting easier already look.
The path is not a quick and easy one to take, but nothing really worth while is. It makes it that much more satisfying knowing that you are in charge and control of your life.
I hope it does get easier for you. I had a couple of horrid days later in my quit but nothing like the first week. You made me laugh at not killing someone, I think at one point we could have been cell mates
Ah Chloe this is good to read long may it continue for you x
Great to see you are having a good day.
As a quit progresses there will be good days and bad days (and of course something in between). As time goes on the amount of good days get more plentiful and the bad days get fewer. So if you get some bad days in the coming weeks don't be disheartened just know that you will have more and more days like today in the not too distant future.
Hi Julie, yes the habit side of it is the worse. I cleaned the whole house yesterday and kept stopping thinking i would have a cig break now, what am i supposed to do? Its weird but i got through and the longer i go on the more determined i am not to go through those first few days again. Last time i gave up it was the first two weeks and then i was ok and i am thinking/hoping this time will be the same. Keep going, we can do this. What day are you on are you doing ct?
Chloe xx
So nearly 2 weeks done Chloe
You've had good days and bad days and are still smoke free. If you can make it to 2 weeks you can make the Penthouse
Just keep remembering that you've beaten bad days before and they don't last forever. Freedom is yours if you just say NOPE.
I too used to miss my 'reward' cigarettes, and it got to be a bit annoying but it does fade, and annoying is not worth losing a quit over. Nothing like the first week!
I remember being so chuffed one evening: I'd spent the day in the garden, come in , had a bath, made tea etc watched a bit of telly and I suddenly realised i hadn't had the 'reward' trigger. I felt like the final chains that linked to me smoking had gone. It was brill.
One week done feeling very positive moving into wk two.
One week done feeling very positive moving into wk two.
Well done Brian
You don't have to, but you might want to log your quit in your own threads. It will make it easier for you to look back at them later on and easier for people to reply to you.
Keep up the positive approach, having the right mindset is the majority of the battle when quitting
