I have done a rough calculation (no, not on the back of a fag packet, those days are over!) and I reckon I have saved myself about £40 since my last cigarette. I wonder what I can buy to reward myself for this?

What can I buy for 40 quid?
Good call with the meal idea Lostie. I have treated my wife to a few nice meals out as a thank you to her for sticking by a grumpy ex smoker lol
It's just the start, but it's a nice sum. I'm a Star Wars freak so I'd spoil myself with something indulgent in that area. Is there anything you've had your eye on, even if you have to save a little more? Do it, why not?
Some great thought there folks.
Well unfortunately I am pretty lonely person lol, so I don't have anyone special to spend my money on.
That said, the thought of saving in a jar is quite appealing watching it rise up throughout the weeks. I have done another little calculation, if I continue to save at £40 a week, then by July I will have £1,000. Which could buy a pretty darned decent summer holiday!
The funny thing is, I have never really thought about planning money before. Its funny what small changes can do.

Smokey, definitely save it up mate. I have a feeling this is going to be your year, and that a Significant Other is going to hove into view at some point soon. Then you'll have the money to spend on a fabulous romantic holiday.
Teffers, how perfectly splendid!
What about a yearly magazine subscription on something that interests you
Go for the £40 a week till July, you then have a target and you then have a fat holiday
I've been putting the amount I would have spent in a box each week since I stopped at the end of september. I must have £700 in there now, which would have gone up in smoke literally.
