Smoked last night had about 5 or so fags...., went to a party drank too much prosecco and the rest is history...... Very silly I know, so please no posts about what an idiot I am etc, I already know that.... Just wanted to tell you because I have had some lovely PM's checking up on me, the last few months haven't been in vain, I have got further than I have ever done before and this time I smoked not because I was craving at all but because I was a bit merry and caught up in the Xmas vibe
Back to it though, I'll go to day 1 very soon it's the only way for me I can't carry on as though nothing's happened but that's just me.....I CAN complete a year smoke free, I did a quarter of a year I can go all the way xx

Now then my lovely, there is nobody that will feel worse than you, but I do have fantastic news, many on here have been where you are( including me) and I so congratulate you , back on here start again, some times indeed it takes a turn in the wrong direction, but you my lovely lady want to take the right turn, so come on my sweet lets get a new quit started, half the battle in life is being honest to your self, and you are , so you succeed, I know you will!
So sorry to hear this Donna but don't let it write off all your hard work, look how far you've come so be very proud of you! I'm preparing for my final quit, lets smash this together x
Don't feel gutted you'll just dwell on it and the tricky brain monsters will be now telling you quit another day. You'll find it a lot easier after a day or 2 if you go back immediately as even another couple of days on the sticks will transform you into a full blown smoker again, do yourself a favour and quit again today Donna, after a couple of days you'll have the head start if you don't become fully reliable again.
I certainly have been there Donna, as I'm sure have most on here have. I'm gutted for you, a horrible feeling. Don't be too down, or hard on yourself, work out what or where you want to be and go for it.
Best wishes, commiserations, and drink champagne next time 😃 xxx
As said by the others, we've all been there. I don't even qualify to comment here coz I'm only a couple a weeks in. But if I was you, try another quit before the New Year, like now? Go on, let us see your new quit post Donna
a few years back I quit for 3 long hard months and got so very down with myself that I went and bought 10 fags, I smoked them and over the next 2 days I smoked some more but I still felt down so I threw away the fags and got back on track. The sadness slowly lifted. Maybe have a chat and ask yourself if the fags are doing it for you. Sending big hugs hunny cos I've been there xxx
Ah Donna...I had a feeling things weren't so good...so sorry....
But (and it is a BIG but) you did, indeed, get 1/4 of a year under your belt and smashed your psycological barrier and having done so once, you can (and will I hope) do it again.
You're in good company with Mina and Mrs Mash also aiming to give it another bash so I will keep everything crossed that 2015 proves to be your year. You certainly deserve it to be.
Back on that horse, Donna, and this time keep hold of the reins for dear life. Loads of positive vibes and love coming your way from me.
Gutted for you Donna, it's such a strange allure isn't it. When we're not doing it we think it's all glamorous and fabulous especially after a drink or ten!! However the reality of smoking when we have to do it is so very different. Don't beat yourself up, just live and learn for next time.
Sorry to hear you gave in to temptation, Donna, but as long as you only had 5 fags and didn't buy more, you've still done well to get this far. Rather than thinking about a 100 days record ruined and back to square one, maybe think of it as 100 days out of 101 smoke free?
Dont be so hard on yourself! I had many slip ups before I quit for good, I think I needed those relapses to finally get over smoking and give it up for good! get back on the wagon as soon as possible
