Well, not far off the 5 month mark now and very pleased about that!
Went out last night to a working men's club (notoriously full of older smokers from what I remember). There were 13 people in our group and only 2 of them were smokers. In fact I didn't notice many people going in and out or the waft of smoke that returns with them. Less and less people are smoking now and it's nice to be in the majority

5 months is huuuuge! I cant wait to be there keep it up. youll have half a year in the bag in no time!
Even better about your night out. That's a biggie for me as it is for many so its always a feel good moment when you can do it without much of a wobble if any
I totally understand what you mean by being in majority. The same thing happened to me a week ago, only there were 3 smokers among 10 people. Feels good.
Wow, Nicky, Halfway House is only just around the corner. The time really has flown by.
Huge congratulations from me. It's lovely to know you can take a night out in your stride now without having to worry about it. Interesting that there were significantly less smokers especially, as you say, at a venue such as that. I suppose the older 'hard-core' smokers are dying off, sadly (and the others have very sensibly seen the light).
Congrats Nicky you are flying now and so near to half a year, really chuffed for you! You are sooo lucky that the majority of your group of friends don't smoke, mines the other way round perhaps I should start canvassing about this place and try and get them to join well done again, flipping awesome! x
Thanks all. Feeling pretty chuffed with myself as never expected to get here. I do still wobble from time from time but having got this far I would be too disappointed in myself to have to start over
Donna Luckily that night out was mainly with oh's friends and I don't think any of them were smokers. My Mum, Gran, Brothers, Sis & Brother in law all smoke (I have been telling them all the benefits of quitting but I think I'm getting on their nerves :D)

I'm just glad it went well and you had a good time
