I honestly cannot believe I'm still here and not had a cigarette for 16 whole weeks, almost four calender months!
I didn't believe I could do this, and mostly I'm still not sure I can stick to it. I don't crave now, It's more an 'I want' than 'I need' when it happens, though it's less often now.
Had a sore throat and cold about 4 weeks ago and can't shift the damn cough, very annoying but other than that health wise I feel great and now focusing on losing some weight too.
My mum has just told me she is doing Stoptober this year so that's good news, I hope she sticks to it.
And well done to Befly too, as we have the same quit date. :D

Well done Nicky, 16 weeks is awesome! I have never got that far, glad the craves are getting easier, "I want" is a lot easier to bat off than "I need" :D
Keep it up and good luck to your mum when she starts xx
You've tackled this with such determination and dignity and I for one am certain you're going all the way to the Penthouse. You're already 1/3 of the way there- how mighty is that?
Kacmins, congratulations to you too. You're one of those who quietly chug away in the background and I don't think there's any doubt that the Penthouse is well & truly in your sights now.
Max couldn't have put it better re the need that becomes an urge that becomes an echo and fades all the time. That's exactly what it's like. I bet that if you look back on how it was for you even as recently as a few weeks ago you'll really notice the difference to how it is now.
