Well for those that know my story, I,m still with squint, any way they now want me to have a cosmetic eye schell, had my appointment last week, and can you believe it my original eye surgeon, said I have not fobbed you off like the other eye surgeons, I,m not violent in any way but just for a moment I could have poked his lights out. As he did original ops twice, my word I could have smoked a thousand fags and while I have not been out socially in over 18 months , I still have not smoked.
And I,m proud of that
For all who are struggling, just keep going

Oh Tracey...honestly, I think you did really well not to lump him one, and even better to not immediately go out the back and light up. Well done you
On the subject of prosthetic eyes, if it is any help my OH has one (he lost his eye following a freak accident with a breakfast cereal packet when he was a toddler :)) and you'd really never know it was a falsie. I had no idea when I first knew him- it was only when he took it out to clean it that I realised

Thanks one and all.
I,m not to sure about having one I have never seen some one in the flesh who had one, but thanks for sharing that with me
Tracey, how much vision do you have in your bad eye? Having vision on only one side would take a bit of adjusting to (OH has obviously known nothing different for most of his life, but even so his spatial awareness can be a bit 'out' sometimes and he has to be really careful when reverse parking for example) and as you're all grown up it would take a while for your brain to adjust properly. However, as the Cupster says, with a falsie you wouldn't feel so self-conscious any more.
