Hi Everyone. I am on day 66 today and I had a dentist appointment today for my six month check up.

The dentist said my teeth and gums are in much better condition now and it's due to the stopping smoking as much as the electric toothbrush. She then went on to list all the problems with gums that smokers have and there are loads! Receding gums sounded particularly unpleasant! :eek:

So pleased I stopped and whenever I crave I'm just going to think of the consequences of smoking.

Nicky doing so very well indeed, the dentist is oh so right, I am having terrible time tooth and gum wise, and can confirm it's not nice, ALL BECAUSE OF SMOKING, only my self to blame.

66 days is a great achievement, hope you proud and happy,.

Tracey - I hope you can get you teeth and gums sorted. I have one loose tooth and some bleeding gums on brushing, which is all since quitting, worth it though for the benefits.

Hi Nicky, pleased to hear you are doing so well. One of the things I have promised myself now that I have given up smoking is the dentist teeth clean - this time I won't have to listen to the 'you shouldn't smoke' lecture.

I am now 10 weeks in and have saved over $1000 so getting ready to treat myself

Im actually just getting to have a look at everyones each individual length of

time that they have been posting on here. Yes, I'm like you, I very much like the blogging and the feedback each of us get from each other. This site, its very supporting and helps one feel that we aren't in this by ourselves. Well done on your day 66. That's fabulous chick!

im due for a dental checkup too ! hah the funny part is my dentist is one of my oldest friends, we start smoking together years ago
