i work in a bingo hall,and obviously its a non smoking enviroment,but the last 2 shifts i kept smelling something nasty every time i used the till............couldnt work it out,i asked 1 of the girls who has never smoked did she know what it was........yes she said ,its the money notes we take off smokers .omg she was right ,yes i knew i used to smoke and smell but never associated other things off me smelt as well ,uuggghhhh.day 12 over and out xxxxx

I remember smelling people when I first stopped, not so much now but I would follow people around that was smoking sniffng away! You will get use to it, I quit cold turkey though, so I know nothing about champix apart from the fact supposedly you get weird dreams?! Xx

lol Trust me you didn't miss out on much, once you would wake from the dream you then would spend the rest of the day trying to piece the nonsense together getting no where fast, then you would just forget about it in total :mad: Tbh thou I didn't have that many but they were defo there from time to time.

Dysongirl, it has to be said that a returning sense of smell can be a double-edged sword, especially when OH has been hogging the bog for ages.

I am sorry everyone if I will offend.

I agree with you Max regarding those amazing nasal cells that are in full flow but I believe that also my digestive and my Hubby digestive system are also working overtime especially the first months of quitting.

I do refuse to think that I have been stinking like this for the pass 35 years...And not talking about smoke but it may have covered some of the smell.

It is something that really bottered me with the quit: I am shopping for food, in a alley and oups there goes. I run to the other alley to hide hoping no one will know its me.

I am usually not shy but this is embarassing.

Hi Dysongirl, I too have recently discovered that my sense of smell has massively improved (not the promised taste buds yet though), never thought about money smelling but I suppose that makes sense.

I have noticed the people smoking below my office window all the time (Hotel - patio area), never noticed the smell when I smoked myself. Still unsure whether or not I like the smell :confused:

And ha ha Helene, I agree with you on that one, though I'm sure my husband is much worse than me
