A robin flew onto the branch a few feet away and proceeded to sing its little heart out...like it was giving a show. I stopped my walk along the canal bank to enjoy it. The sun was bright and warm and all the birds seemed cheery. When she finished, I carried on my walk and was in a good mood so I smiled and gave a cheery hello to a woman who was walking the other way. It cost me nothing, like the robin with his song, just given freely to make the day brighter. She just looked daggers, scowled at me and walked on. Like she had the shutters down and was totally closed off. It's more and more like this these days. We can offer trust and help to each other freely or we can shut each other out. Better to be like the robin I think?

After the disturbed night I was awake for some hours, irritable and wanting a fag. Got through that and eventually went back to sleep as not working today. Realised late in the afternoon that I'd totally forgotton to put a patch on and had only had two or three mints during the day and not felt too bad at all. Good oh.

Yeah i know what you mean. I always feel sorry for people who shuffle past me in the street, keeping their head down and trying not to make eye contact.

They're missing out on so many good vibes and they don't even realise it.

And I know its technically wrong to begin sentences with the word 'and' or 'but'.

BUT........ I also know... Clod....my good and lovely fellow....that nothing here is crap. (although, as an addendum, perhaps Bedside radios are.....(particularly when one wishes/needs to sleep)) But giving up the....giving up things...the stinky smelly givey up things....is the BEST thing you will EVER givey-upily do. I think I've been a givey upper long enough now to be qualified to tell you that. Hang on in there baby. Hang on in there darling. (Ooops....just burst into song there)

Oh...it's horrible that stuff happens Karri. Makes the world a much sadder place.
