5 weeks today :)

Exactly 35 days since I have had a cigarette...feeling pretty good, no craves although when I get up in the morning I reach for the patch straight away so somewhere, subconsciously it is obviously on my mind :/

Getting a bit nervous about the dreaded 8 weeks, if I can only get to 9 weeks psychologically I know I will have cracked it forever! :)

Glad to see the weather is a bit better this morning, off to work and then out for dinner with the girls lots of gossip and wine just what I need :)

Hope everyone is still doing well, let's all keep up the good work, we can do this lovely people, sending lots of positive energy your way xx

Well done Donna, five weeks is excellent and a really good grounding for your quit, you should be really chuffed at this! :)

I just read your posts about health too, and agree with you. The health benefits of quitting are substantial (and I for one wished I was as fit as a ninja, alas...no!), and every little jab, twinge or fuzzy episode sets the alarms off. Given what I went through I think we do hurt more as we heal in the early weeks, but come through it much fresher.

Also, time won't stand still, the point ten weeks from your day 1 will arrive, and I'll bet you'll be there looking back and wondering what all the kerfuffle was about. Congrats on five weeks, keep it going! x

Thank you Hawk :) yes the health thing is an odd one, I'm not obsessed with my health or anything but I am definitely more aware having taken the main cause of ailments away you can't blame the coughs, heartburn etc on the fags anymore so I then find myself wondering what is causing it, deep down I know it's the body healing itself it's just a weird feeling, thanks again x

Donna you are doing brilliant and stop worrying about the future you nutter. No one knows what is ahead of us so live for today. You wont have to worry at 8 or 9weeks as you have it sussed. And as for your health we all get small aliments and stopping smoking is going to prevent you getting some pretty big ones .

Right consider yourself told loopy lou xxx

Haha! Aye aye captain, your b-ollocking has been duly noted ;) xxx

Debs is right of course Donna :D

Stop fretting about this silly 8 weeks nonsense, you know it is just a mental thing and once you do THUNDER past 8 weeks as you WILL,then you will be streaking along (not literally perhaps :p) and it will be 4 then 6 months before you know it!!!!!!!!!!

You are absolutely nailing this so far and nothing will blow you off course,NOTHING!!!!!!!!! x

It certainly won't! I have so far paid for a nice weekend away, new pair of boots and a couple of lunches with the ladies and that's in 5 weeks! Onwards and upwards! :)

Right on Petal!!!!!!!:D

(Sorry, that HAS to be my nickname for you from now on...on the plus side, at least I'm older than you)

A Penthouse p1ss up in London next Jan will be AWESOME!!

I know 8 weeks is historically significant to you, so plan for it and talk to your fellow FFers if it becomes a problem. 'K?

You're doing fan-dabby-dozy Donna :)

You are doing an absolutely fantastic job of quitting this time. Attitude is perfect, using the patches well and posting here for advice when needed. Forget the 8 weeks thing and just keep doing what you are doing. Playing games on the internet helps distract if you like that sort of thing.

Thanks John, feeling a bit jittery this evening, I feel a panic attack brewing :( still, I have taken 2 herbal Nytol as it contains valerian and will try to get some rest and hope the feeling passes soon.... definitely don't want a cig but body not behaving itself...on the plus side its my birthday Sunday so I have a lovely weekend planned :) onwards and upwards... Tally ho!:)
