How long does the irritation last?

I'm on Day 11 and I still feel quite irritable a lot of the time. I'm not experiencing so much cravings but do feel quite grumpy. Is this normal? If it is how long does it last?

Everyone is different so can't answer that I am afraid. I used to hate Friday evenings, finishing work for the weekend was very hard for me, it made me feel really down. I foolishly thought I couldn't enjoy my weekend without smoking and I just don't know when that stopped, it just did and I remember feeling so happy knowing that was now a thing of the past.

You will get over the irritability that is for sure, my advice would be just ride these feelings out and don't worry about it too much, it will end:)

Wow, Haze...I totally understand the Friday PM thing!

Gruff, dude. As long as the people around you are supportive, you need to ALLOW YOURSELF to be grumpy for as long as it takes.

Being grumpy cheers you up.

Fact :D

Well done mate,

Steve

Yes I think this is the norm at some point in the quit.

I did really well to start with in my quit but then I remember, on around weeks 4 and 9, going through a couple of bad days being grumpy. I could have argued with my own shadow.

The good thing was though that it was pretty short lived :D:D

So hang on in there it will get better :)

Not long I hope, I've been snappy with my little girl and as much as it's breaking my heart I can't stop it, I feel on edge at least once a day. I keep trying heavy breathing but that just makes me dizzy :) good luck xx

I was irritable for a while, remember having to have a word with myself quite often in the early days but it does ease in time...hold on in there, it's SO worth it :)
