Hi ,my name is Lesley and I am on Day 4 ..... I have quit previously for 5 yrs and for some unknown, totally stupid decision, started again , thinking I could control it and wouldnt become dependant on them again. However, as we all know, they take hold of you very quickly.

I am looking forward to becoming a non smoker again and all the benifits that go with it, and cant wait to wake up in the morning and not think about cigarettes.

Hi Lesley, good to meet you, 5 years? Wow that's awesome! At least you know you definitely CAN do it, I know from trying in the past it's impossible to be a social smoker, if you could only smoke when drinking everyone would do it lol, good on you for giving it another go, I wish you well xx

I do find these forums useful and as I have quit before i know I might experience different difficulties than last time, and not know how to handle them. I am using a 24mg patch cut into 1/4's as the full strength patches have left me with what can only be described as a 'burn'. Used them before and didnt have a problem with them and reduced the strength as and when the doctor suggested, so this is all new to me

I am having to use the microtabs in conjunction with my 'little' patch and was wondering if you had ever used them, or know anyone that has?

well done in your 5 year quit! thats amazing..i wish u all the best this time round although of course u will beat the cigarettes once again..im very interestes to know how different u thought life was when you wasnt a smoker xx

Life without fags its was soooooooo much better, no need to worry about the weather, whether or not u had enough money to buy fags. Money in ur purse tends to stay there a lot longer when you dont smoke ?!!! haha.

It nice to have nothing controlling the way you live your life and no kids nagging me to quit. Makes you wonder why I ever started again hey ????
