Random heading for a random person

So i have had some time off work, I visited a smoking friend. I sat in her flat with her catching up with the social gossip and guess what! Yep I gave in to it and im back here!

It didnt help that I forgot my NRT.

I told my OH and he is going to remind me every morning to put my patch on and he is being very supportive.

I know another trigger now and I have learnt not to go into a small pokey smokey flat. Next time I see my friend she will have to come out to a non smokey place!

Sorry to disappoint in those reading my stronger posts and sorry I had a weakness Please forgive me.

I promise to you and myself that Imma try harder this time and it will be my last quit!

From admitting my mistake, I am finding people around me are being more supportive. I thought they would be disappointed and give me lectures and everything.

I definately need the support more than I thought though. Its when I am on my own I start thinking Id like a ciggy. I dont find myself craving as much when Im with my OH and if I do crave I tell him. He instantly says 'have a lozenge' I seem to forget that I have them :rolleyes:

Karri is right, you need a mist, lozenges, gum, melty things, inhalator or even spare patches in your bag/coat at all times if you really can't cope without your NRT. Attack your quit as if going to war, keep well armed and don't let the sneaky git take you by surprise - You can do this

Yep I think forgetting my NRT is a massive weekness of mine! Ive got my OH to set an alarm and to text me to make sure I have put my patch on everyday.

Ive got the patches in my handbag now and that never leaves me so hopefully i wont forget again!

Ive picked up some more lozenges from the chemist so I can store them all over the place. In my car, at work, bags, home etc..... just incase!

Im on day 2 Karri, I havent smoked since tuesday lunch time, which is when I saw my friend.

Im going to smack that craving Kat as hard as I can! so far it has no chance of coming back! :D

something that is annoying me is that pop stars are starting to advertise smoking more

like what is beyonce knowles doing on her video 'why dont you love me'

why is she smoking :mad:

And ive seen pics of other singers smoking away

Im listening to some music to take my mind off things at work and ive got the new Avril lavigne album. She sings about searching for her lighter, then another song she says sad songs need a sea of lighters. Then on another song she says about give me one last cigarette!

I never noticed before how much advertising pop stars do for fags!!!!! :mad:

It's totally wrong IMO!!

Then you get pics in the paper of celebs smoking, that's so irresponsible - especially when the target audience of those videos and songs is usually teen girls.

Ooh you reminded me, last year about when I quit, they kept playing an Ellie Goulding song and she was on about smoking - that was *not* helpful so i feel your pain!!

I watched trainspotting but it didn't make me want to take drugs but I once lost a quit because I saw Becky McDonald smoking in corrie :rolleyes:

Watching it on TV is horrible because the smell doesnt put you off and your watching their motions. I find it all tempting too

Some days I smell a smoker and I think ew and then other times Im like oh that smells lush! weird isnt it?
