PANTS......really really PANTS

Good morning all,

I hope your all feeling ok, its a little milder where I am.

However, as the title suggest I feel like total and utter ****! :(

Ive seem to have this cold, which is fine, and it hasnt quite hit my chest although its having a damn good try, but my Lungs this morning are really hurting!! Ive not really been coughing or anything so I know its not a pull, and Ive not been close to OH whilst he has been indulging in his habit and Ive not slept funny either so Im a little puzzled......the pain has actually reduced me to tears more than once this morning.

I have suffered with lung spasms quite a few times over the last few years, a couple of them have landed me in hospital on oxygen, but it wad due to smoking way to much and reducing the oxygen in my blood.....so I know its not that either, as Ive been yukky ciggies free for 8 weeks......any ideas anyone?

I wondered if it was just my lungs working on their own to expel the crap rather than me having a ciggie to force the cough?

Thanks all x

Thanks Both...

Truth be told Im exhausted, yet somehow keep managing to get up in the morning and rush my daughter to the childminders and get to work all before 7.30-7.45...which I suppose is a good thing!?

My OH has told me to chill tonight, my mom is picking my daughter up from school, and will drop her home later.....Im calling the doctors at 11 so I can speak with the doctor......

It would be nice to stop crying tbf.....feeling pretty miserable, which isnt like me at all

Bless you, apparently one of the reasons we really suffer with chest pain when we quit is that we no longer take in big breaths as we did when smoking, therefore we aren't using them to their full capacity and when we do need to take in a larger breath, like in between coughs or a sneeze, it hurts. Only one theory. All I can say is it does improve, mine disappeared gradually and I suddenly realised one day it had gone :p

well...Ive spoken to the Nurse.....

and because ive suffered with lung issues before, ive got to see a GP today, prefebably in the next couple of hours.....it could be just my lungs repairing and holding off my cold from hitting my chest (which is very good!!), it could be remnants of my chest infection 9 weeks ago (my reason for starting my quit!) or it could be something else....so, ill be off to a walk in center to see a GP, as Ive more chance of seeing a doctor.....

Hopefully, all will be ok :)

Thankyou! Docs says I am suffering pluratic (not sure of the spelling!) pain. I have been put on antibiotics again to help battle the cold and prevent it getting worse. I've got to see my doctor in a week if I still have discomfort, but I think ill be fine.

Aww that's nasty :( :(

Hope the antibiotics do the trick quickly and you're back to normal ASAP!!

Was at school with a girl who had pleurisy and it wasn't fun - made it worse that she smoked, but as you don't that should help!!

Glad you got to see a doctor. The antibiotics should do it for you. Now you need some TLC and lots of rest.xx
