So far so good I'm feeling quite pleased with myself I think, I haven't missed smoking much, but that could be cos I'm replacing cigs with food and that's not clever lol
My o/h treated me to a treadmill so now when I feel the need to eat, I force myself to do some walking instead.
Can I just warn all the ladies here that haven't yet reached peri-menopause, stop smoking now, seriously! right now! Once you reach the peri-meno, if you want to lose weight, it's nigh on impossible! Plus you get all the added 'goodies' like depression, mood swings, sweats, pain, itchy skin, palpitations, headaches, tiredness, insomnia, they sound familiar? Quite like nicotine withdrawals?
For the love of God, give up smoking now if you can, cos having to do it on top of being peri-meno isn't pretty, and is very hard on those around you too lol!
Still, onwards and upwards eh?

Huge well done for getting to day 34 and massive respect for going cold turkey. You sound so determined to do this and it sounds like you've been through worse already. Good luck
Thanks Jenny, I didn't see the point of doing it any other way really, and I honestly wouldn't restart cos I NEVER want to go through all this again lol
Been there, done that and worn the t-shirt. I have had fibroids and endometriosis since I was about 18 and the pain only stopped when I was pregnant and now. So for me there was a gift that made all those hot flushes worth it ie no more pain.
You're doing great quitting smoking with all that going on

Lol Thanks Jen On a serious note though, best to quit smoking when there's not much else going on with your body! My o/h was scared to begin with too, he now can gauge my mood quite fast and stays out of my way when required, he's such a top bloke, bless 'im
That's brilliant!! Massive well done to you, smoking for 40 years then going cold turkey, wow!! Bet you're feeling really proud of yourself
Oh and I love your name
