Hope everyone is doing ok, and not snowed in or anything....Winter well and truly here!!
I ate my dinner, its was blooming lovely (but then Cheesy Chips just are!!) and I was hit with the most intense urge for a ciggie so far in my quit! It came out of the blue and was really strong! It really shocked me, so took a deep breath, ate a mint...and them bought a gorgeous pair of boots Ive had my eye on for a while that I can afford on a whim now even though I dont actually need them (yeah right, im female...OF COURSE I NEED THEM!)!! Craving soon disappeared.
Its put my guard up a little though, cos it sneaked up on me (the cheeky so n so), made me a little jumpy!
Anyhow, off again...so all have a good afternoon

Yep, a few of us have been taken totally unawares by these side swipers, they come in via your blind spot and hit with such a low blow that they almost knock you off your feet. Keep your wits about you and plenty of distractions, just in case that evil demon tries it again.
oh god I remember them from my last quit, and once I had just one, and then just another one, then well here I am back again. It is mad when a side swiper will get you though.
As for the weather it is wet and windy here in the west of Ireland and ****** cold, we have a lazy wind it will go through you rather than around you.
And yes Karri an even better day would be a handbag to match the boots!!!!! Love love handbags:).

TOTALLY agree Nutmeg!! lol But lately, Im finding it hard to find a handbag I like. Im the same with sunglasses and scarves Im afraid. I looked for a handbag yesterday too, but couldnt find one that jumped at me..........so Im ordered another pair of boots instead! lol.
psssssst keep it quiet though, the OH only knows about one pair....he thinks I have more than enough........
and strangely they come when u think ur almost there with ur quit and well into it. We expect them at the beginning, and the determination gets us through... but when its a few weeks, months in, they are just horrible to try deal with cos its so destructive on ur confidence that things are getting better.
I agree Felic2012. It literally took my breath away, I was totally shocked. Im on patches, so I expected them each time I stepped down a patch, as there was less nicotine, but not in the middle like this one. Still, I beat it, and got new boots (well two pairs!)
