Oh wow really?

When I was quit I got wild salt cravings  no idea why and it doesn't happen now either!!

I think nicotine mucks about with sodium level if I remember rightly. Somebody with a more chemistry orientation I'm sure can explain it. Something to do with sodium and brain things and ions and magic.

Anyway go with it, listen to your body. If it wants salty buttered toast then go for it...

Strange one...I started really well and continued with my diet but since Halloween and with tons of sweets leftover I haven't stopped eating them, and I have never had sweet tooth....

Karri,

Had a thought of you tonight as I find myself in East London looking onto the Tate and Lyle Golden Syrup factory.

The smell coming wafting on the breeze is one of boiling golden syrup. I pity the poor locals as they too must be craving it tonight.

Golden Syrup belongs in a big golden puddle in the middle of porridge when I'm poorly - total comfort food!

Mum does something called "thunder and lightning" - bread with clotted cream and syrup on.

It's incredibly bad for you but soooo yummy!!

yep, thunder and lightning is something I always have to do for my sister and brother-in-law when they're down!:D Confused my Mum doing it this time as I took it to her house for dessert as she'd invited us all for dinner and I always have the bread warm and crusty for it which she'd never done!

It's gorgeous!!

Especially with a lovely crusty loaf :D

Not what you're looking for?
