Not had a ciggy since 8.30 lady night. I'm using patches and a vapor e-cig. Up to now coping well, hopefully the rest of the day will be good. Managed to stop for 3 months but made the mistake of 'oh, one won't make me start again' how wrong was I, before I knew it was back on 20 a day. Lesson learned never going to even have 1

Good luck Debby!!
We've all been there with the "just one" thing, I did it after 18 months give or take and it was a slippery slope that ended with me smoking over a pack a day :/
Posting on here will really help, whether you need help, adivce or just to let off steam
Well done on being over half-way through today, Debby.
Treat yourself kindly, be really good to yourself, have nice things instead of fags, and when you go to bed tonight, you will feel so proud of yourself for having got today tucked safely away!
Val
Good luck this time Debby, so many people fall foul of the "one won't hurt" thought.
As long as it is a lesson learned it is one less thing that can trip you up this time.
Remember, with all addicts of any type, one is one too many and one thousand is never enough.
All you have to do is remember... Not One Puff Ever

Well done on the best decision of your life. I echo what everyone above says. Welcome to the forum!!!
well done debby, In moments it will be ok, it will be brilliant, it will be awful, it will be i had enough etc but they are all just moments. On the whole 99% of your life will not have changed at all! 1% will be made to feel uncomfortable every now and then when your be reminded you dont smoke anymore
why smoke to make 1% of your life easier? Good luck to you xxx

Best advice I received in early days - baby steps, try not to look too far ahead and you'll do just fine

Yes, baby steps and take one day at a time.
