Jo,

It's great to see some 'stoptober' recruits - maybe set up your own group as you go though the journey together - look under 'quick links -> social groups'.

I wish you all every success - but I don't wish you luck; luck doesn't enter into it - this is something which is entirely within your grasp, so long as you make that commitment to 'never take another puff'. It really is as simple, and as hard, as that.

Welcome Jo, and if I may I'd like to take the opportunity to say "welcome and good luck too" to anyone picking up on the stoptober theme to kick this awful addiction into touch. Support here by the shedload, look forward to seeing your journey unfold! :)

Thank-you everyone for such a Warm welcome... Really nice to see after a tough kind of day ... This is defo a place of sanity where we all understand the withdrawal process and the journey of removing nictotine both mentally and physically. Grrrrr

My head feels a bit misty today, working and doing the day job i had to focus hard to keep going. I hate the feeling of being light headed but hopefully will be gone soon (few days). .... Even though i feel fuzzy i am still feeling positive and excited about getting my sense of smell back and better taste :))

Good advice Egg!

I will look at groups with a view of creating one hopefully! :)))

For any newbie reading this keep going you can do it and your not alone !!!!

Xxxxxxx

Just wanted to wish all the new Stoptober quitters the best of luck.

In 22 days i will be 3 years on from when i stopped in Oct 2010 and will be rolling into the start of my 4th year.

I always say if i can do it so can you and i truely believe that. Take it 1 Minute, 1 hour and 1 day at a time.

Good luck to all quitters whatever your stage in your quit and dont give up those that have not quite found there quit yet :-) x
