I have stopped smoking now for 24hours, and, apart from some manic laughing at work today and sweaty palms...I and everyone around me has survived the first day PHEW! Lets hope I get through day 2 xx

Well done on your 24 hours, so far. If you are really determined it's actually surprising how quickly the days go by.

Make the most of this forum....read other peoples' experiences...it really does help. Also, ask questions, rant, do whatever you need.

Are you doing it cold turkey, or using patches, Champix or what?

I am going cold turkey...I don't know if that is the right thing to choose (I have read somewhere you are less likely to quit going cold turkey) but I am wanting to withdraw from nicotine aswell as all the other stuff in a fag.

Going through a craving as we speak-sweaty palms!
