All the time I smoked, I had no chest infections...you know that cough I've been mentioning since the 5th or 6th week? Long standing chest infection & I'm just finishing my 3rd month! Now on piggin antibiotics...how utterly ridiculous!
How ironic: All the time I smoked, I had no... - No Smoking Day
How ironic
You are not alone Sophie! I was told it is quite normal to get quite poorly in the first year. I developed pneumonia 2 weeks into my quit and felt very sorry for myself! Good news is that it passed quickly (probably helped by not smoking as I would usuallly have done)!!! Hope you are feeling better soon!!!!
Sarah
Oh, it's ok...I was more amused than peeved! Luckily, there's not much pain & I only went to the Docs because my family dragged me there as the cough wasn't going. Hopefully, the antibiotics will clear it quickly. It hasn't affected my quit as I'm quite a way into it now.

I hope you are starting to feel better Sophie.xx
How are you feeling Sophie? I hope better. It seems most people pick up a chest infection after they quit. Not sure why - but I have not. Luck? Maybe - but I think it would be good to cough up some of that nastiness I have been putting in my lungs for so many years. So - get it all out Sophie and you will be breathing better then ever in no time.
Hi, Melzee,
It's mad, isn't it? & I can't get over how different each quit has been for me. This time, I'm a lot more positive about it...I no longer feel like I've lost something which is great...& had some awful times but still not caved this time. As for the cough? It's still there so I guess it's back to the quacks for me
