Well done Danny, you are heading in the right direction ;) I am 6 months quit and rarely think about smoking (except when on this forum:D), so stay strong and do not become complacent, remember Not One Puff Ever - NOPE :)

Danny,

Well done fella, you've got it cracked!!

There is only one piece of advice which matters now, and I'm sure it's been said already anyway - NEVER drop your guard, NEVER think 'just one' won't matter, NEVER allow yourself to feel complacent. You've reached a place which is worth far too much to throw away for the sake of another cigarette, and you should be in no doubt that another cigarette would be throwing it all away.

You are an addict forever, just like everyone else here, so you've got to respect the fact that the demon is always inside you, just waiting for the wake-up call. Make sure he never gets it :D:D

P.S. apologies for the sexism in the above post, I realise the demon could equally be female. In fact, probably is. Damn, mustn't say things like that, even if they're true. I'll get me coat

lol - thanks all and you are all so right - its the "just one trick" which nicodemon is using on me the most - but knowloedge is power and when u realise what his game is, it takes all the power away from him...nicodemon we are on to you...

this forum feels like a rescue boat - which when people reach into realise how nice it is - but fear is a funny ol thing that can keep you hooked....i am amazed how good i feel now - the most i have is a strong thought (probably similar to that slight dread feeling when you realise you dont have mobile /keys etc on you) but it passes so quick as long as i dont act on it...it gets easier i promise (look at my posts even 2 weeks ago where i was struggling!!)

Thanks all
