Still hanging in there!

Today, in the States, we celebrate our freedom (sorry, my friends over the pond; it's nothing personal anymore...). :)

I'm celebrating my freedom from smoking. As of right now, it's been:

One year, three months, twenty-two days, seven hours, and eleven minutes

since my last cigarette.

I'm free. Still vigilant, but free. It feels good.

Worth celebrating for sure.

Not the overthrowing of the English oppressors.

Being Welsh I'm with you... :D

That's great DGee :D

And the diet how is that going? I am very close to having to do something serious,to curtail my ever increasing girth

Ah, thanks for asking. Well, so far, in about seven weeks, I've managed to drop about 18 pounds and 6 inches around my waist. I'm about 1/3 the way to my overall goals. Just like quitting smoking, it's all a matter of a "day at a time."
