I was reading Angry Bear's recent post (congratulations again and please remember to save me a seat ;)), relating back to his first ever thread on the forum, and it made me want to take a look at my own collection of posts.
I found a particularly interesting thread from around my second month, called "A Little Advice Please ...". I was pretty much decided that I was going to give in and go back to being a smoker. I had accepted that I couldn't ever have "just one" and that I didn't want to fight any longer.
I'd say that's probably been the worst of it for me.
Max, you are my gem. Where would I be without you?!
This post reminds me of how much we have to fight at times to get rid of Nasty Nic. I look back at that thread now and feel as though I was rather dramatizing the situation, but I remember how it affected me at the time and it was definately not fun!
I am so so happy to be where I am now. And I love that I can look back and use those early posts as motivation to spur myself on!
This forum is wonderful. I just wish more smokers would listen to me when I tell them how easy it can be ...

we are truly on a great journey to freedom - well done in sticking to it!
The transformation in you is amazing Sarah - it's lovely to see how you've gone from being worried and afraid to being so happy to be a non-smoker!!
It does sound like drama when you look back on it, but it's a helpful reminder that you really *did* feel like that, and it's a powerful message not to go back there ever again!!
