Ewww but yup but seeing that gunk gives a boost.

Good to hear that you're going for it. It changes everything in a massively positive way.

I still ain't had this cough thing, hopefully soon.

It's a really good motivator!!

Even more so when you're coughing into a carrier bag because it makes you heave. :(:(

hehe!!! That is the disgust starting to grow ;)

knew it would catch you soon!

Seriously though, it is quite a rank though to think that would be sat down in your lungs and the smoke holds it there as the little hairs (cilia I think they're called) in your lungs sort of get paralysed by the crap you inhale. Stopping gives them a chance to become alive again and clear your lungs of gunk. (not everyone gets the full fledge of 'yukk' coming up though.

Is smoking seeming less of a pleasure now?

is it less of a pleasure - hmmm, not sure. the "thoughts" of actually smoking is still a beautiful thought but already my taste is returning which is absolutley fabadozy and another reason to keep going....

so no, im not at the disgust stage yet and my mind is in that obsession stage of thinking about cigarettes 24/7 (no way did i think about them this much when i was smoking)

but

the flem, the taste, the money and most importantly for me the EMPOWERMENT i feel for starting to crack this is what will keep me going....

thanks everyone again:)

I think the first 4-5 days it felt like ALL I could think about was smoking, could even almost taste them in my mouth, :mad:then, suddenly POW! those feelings subsided, not saying they disappeared but they weren't my every waking thought.

Smoking doesn't repulse me in others but the thought of me smoking again, I can't even imagine , thinking about it now does repulse me to think I could put a cig to my mouth puff away and inhale- just seems so strange and alien.

You will get to that point, a light bulb moment when you realise you don't need or want to smoke. It's a great moment, if you notice it-enjoy it :D
