Hi Guys, haven't been around much so just thought I'd post a quick message to say that I'm still here!
Did everyone enjoy a nice bank holiday weekend?
I have to admit, the sunshine on Saturday and Sunday did make me crave quite a bit, but I think I'm so past the stage of worrying about failing that I just let those feelings come knowing that they'll do no harm! Lol.
My sister was visiting this weekend (she lives down south) with her husband and my three year old niece, and we all had a lovely time. It still shocks me when I see how big my niece gets! They seem to grow up so quickly, I feel like I'll miss something if I blink!
Well I hope you all had great weekends anyway. Speak soon xxx

I'm glad you had a nice weekend, it was lovely here too for Sat and Sun and Nic popped up for me too - more on Sunday TBH but we all beat the stinky little **** (you can make up your own word for the *'s :p) shows how rubbish our weather is that we all quit months ago and these are some of the first sunny days we've had to contend with!!
Lol, and don't flowers smell gorgeous? *Was winding her mum up on Sunday*

Love the smell of summer even more than before, which is great
This weekend was full of smokers asking "How did you quit?", "Was it easy?", "Are you struggling with being in the sunshine and sat outside around all of us smokers?".
So, while I had cravings now and then, I spent most of my weekend feeling quite proud as I explained that yes, the memory of smoking is difficult to bat away when it's beautiful outside, but it's still one of the best thing I've ever done for myself.
Nasty Nic knows not to mess with Sarah Lou now. I can almost hear his half-hearted efforts at tempting me! *Imagines him sat on shoulder looking worn out and beaten*.

All the flowers are coming out at home, and it's lovely being able to smell them - even the bunches in the supermarket smell fab
Although me going round like a toddler smelling everything probably annoyed mum a bit

YAY for you being proud, you deserve it!!
And heck every smoker wants to stop - don't you remember that feeling when someone you knew quit? I bet they're turning green with envy seeing you being a happy non-smoker!!
One of my friend's friends (sounds clumsy but I don't know him that well, lol) has quit because of me - not bragging, he said so!! We used to go out for a smoke together on nights out and stuff and he says seeing me go from "I smoke, love it, and if you don't tough" (yeah I was one of them :/ ) to being really happy as a non-smoker inspired him

He's there, a sad, whiny, smelly little b*gger now!! He's gone from being the one who controlled you to whining "Please have me back Sarah" - go on give him a slap!!
Awww, it's nice to know that something you've done has helped someone else
Well done!
Being happy about not smoking really is the key I think. Other smokers respond much more positively towards chucking the fags in when they can see that it's actually not the end of the world and it is achievable.

I'm quite proud of it
It's definitely good to see us happy without our dummies - shows how pointless smoking is really!!
Ooh and I didn't realise you're in the same room as me, party time!!:cool:
Well done you ladies, isn't it brilliant to be free of addiction and free of Nic's smelly dead yellow hands.Hurrah!!!!!! xxx
Hurrah to that!!
Going back to your comment about helping others before, Gemma, I had a work's night out on Friday and a couple of the lads were complaining that they'd tried to stop but had been unsuccessful. I must remember to hand over my Allen Carr book as a loan to them! We need more converts!
