Successfully managed to get through Day 1 without too much challenge. I do however feel physical symptoms quite a bit. My head feels hotter than usual - not a headache almost like a wave emitting heat through my skin. I'm very hungry all day which was too be expected.
I was very tired last night but woke up at 2am like a bolt and struggled to settle again - this is very unusual for me. I also had strange dreams.
Forum has been great today as been hit by quite a lot of cravings so excellent to see people succeeding and encouraging each other.
This is my third attempt in the last year (three months for No.1 and four days for No.2). Going Cold Turkey this time after NRT No.1 and No.2.
I hate smoking more than anything in the world, I hate the grip it has over me and the impact it has on my life. I feel like this can be my successful escape...

I also have those strange dreams, but as the time goes by those dreams dont happen too often. This forum helped me alot, I guess it just makes you feel better knowing there are people out there rooting for you, and going through more and less the same things as you. Also ranting on here makes the cravings go away.
Be strong and don't give in. Better days await us.
The dreams were the strangest part, really vivid with people I'd not thought about for years and in very strange circumstances. I find it fascinating how much chemicals impact us in ways we do not understand.
I've had a tough time with sleeping generally and I think it is something to do with smoking. Prior to this quit attempt I was smoking more than ever... where I live packets of fags cost 70p, which I think impacted my sleep patterns and now the reverse is happening.
Anyway - I'm in late afternoon of Day and craving have been quite back this afternoon. My vision is a bit odd and I'm very irritable. Doing my best to stay strong.
Going to get a Banh Mi on the way home, anyway had one of those before?

Ooooh no, what's that then?? May I try some??
Well done for jumping back onto the wagon Jamie and welcome to the forum. It sounds like your relationship with those filthy cancer sticks is a terrible one, so I'm really rooting for you and sending positive vibes your way.
I would advise that you try to drink plenty of water, as this (somehow) seems to lessen cravings. Also, nibbling on things and plenty of exercise are other ways to help.
Sarah Lou - Banh Mi means Bread in Vietnamese. In Saigon there are hundreds of little street vendors that sell what are basically small French baguettes with different fillings in.
I like a Fried Egg, some vegetables and some Soy Sauce - sounds disgusting but it is amazing. Best part of all is that they cost about 40p.
I've just eaten one and have a small bar of dairy milk to support cravings battle. Still feel weird but better than earlier.

Not a big fan of eggs though :/
Unless it has been fried and is surrounded by bacon, sausage and beans Also, I don't really like the yolk. Lol. I'm not fussy really, promise!!
