Sorry sorry sorry to all of my fellow (max kk gema ect) quitters and newcomers for not giving any support or advice on their quit in the last month or so.
Things here in Cyprus went a little crazy but now its settled its self down a little :D. and also we found a dog on the beach starving to death so we took him in and now hes doing fine. When we first found him 5 weeks ago he weighed in at 14 kilos he is now 25 kilos.
Im so glad to see so many of you doing so well, im doing great im starting my 4th month today. To be honest ive found it not easy but on the other hand its not been hard also hmmmmmm strange one, to achieve a quit its like anything in this world it comes at a price and that price is hard work and determination. Because lets be honest nothing comes for free, but as every second, minute, hour, day and week that passes it gets easier and easier ( meaning you find a way to cope and it becomes second nature).
There are 2 reasons why im writing this post the first one is this;
I have been spending so much time with our new dog (we have 3 now plus a cat and a canary) hes coming on leaps and bounds. I can relate my quit to training my dog hmmmmmm i bet your all thinking what is this clown talking about, but look..............to train a dog it takes time, effort hard work and patients. That is exactly how my quit was and still is and my dog is now Obedient house trained fit and healthy, well im house trained im not obedient but im a lot fitter and healthier..................A PENNY FOR YOU THOUGHTS.
My second reason is that some plonker this morning has made me a little angry by stating that 'we should not say well done to ourselves for quitting as we are not children anymore' WHAT A LOAD OF BOL%$"*.
i would like to say well done to everybody on their quit and i think now more than ever we need to have a NATIONAL 'WELL DONE DAY' (who agrees if so please post yes)
or maybe the fool is only fooling around because it is april fools day.
Anyway at heart im still a kid just like everybody else out there so WELL DONE and congrats to everybody on their quit xxx

Cheers Max and yes he is but not only that his temperament is second to none, hes so so friendly to everyone and everything there is not nasty bone in his body. Me and Steffi love him to bits.
Up to date with all the vets bills ect hes cost us only about 1500 euros and i say only because this dog is worth so much more to us...........WHAT A GREAT FIND :D
Unfortunately the Cypriots do not treat animals like us Brits do, its heartbreaking sometimes but there's only so much we can do :(
Full 3 month quit is fantastic and I can completely relate to the 'not easy but not hard' , its the karma effect, I always like to think that you get back what you put in so to speak.
We are never to old to say well done or pat ourselves on the back, because unfortunately there is always someone out there waiting to knock us back or put forward a half glass empty view.
Trigger looks gorgeous and thank goodness you were able to take him in, I hope he continues to be in good health.
is the banking situation in Cyprus getting a bit WOOF!
nice 1 Dicko thats put a smile on my face:D........................as for the banking situation its all a bit crazy but apart from that, the sun is still shinning and the island is still beautiful :D
Well done on your quit and for saving that beautiful dog. I live in Spain and have a similar problem here with many abandoned dogs left to starve or be killed on the roads, and it's not only Spaniards doing this there are a lot of Brits who have abandoned their dogs and gone back to UK. We have 3 dogs we have saved from starvation and they have rewarded us with their love and loyalty.

Here here, my man (hope your male!). Well done you for saving yourself from the cigs and for saving Trigger.
I had to go looking for the post you mention. When you look back at that member's prior posts, that plonker admits to many failed quits. I've posted elsewhere this morning that quitting is tough and requires determination, and those who find it easy are few and far between (or perhaps a tendency towards hypocracy?). I stick with the view that it pays to NOT be complacent.
So I say WELL DONE you WP. And Well Done to Everyone Else. Wherever you are on your quit journey, you deserve to congratulate yourself and celebrate - as childishly as you wish!!
I absolutely love, love, dogs and what a heartwarming story you've told about Trigger.
Will, what a Treasure you are, and what a Petal Mrs W is for giving Trigger a second chance at life.
Trigger is absolutely gorgeous and the before and after photos brought a lump to my throat, he looks soooooo happy now. He looks quite a young dog going by the whiteness of his teeth Will.
