Just searching the web for quotes that should give me, and anyone else who needs a push, some positive energy for the day
This is my favourite so far:
In terms of smoking you can begin by saying to yourself, silently or outloud (I prefer outloud so your ears hear and imprint the message a second time), "I am a nonsmoker. I set a good example to those around me. I smell fresh and clean when I hug my children/spouse/mate. I am a nonsmoker!"
Please feel free to post your own

You're doing brilliantly by the way - it's great to see
Lol, can't think of any quitting ones but my dad always said a fag was "a roll of grass (not *that* kind of grass Max :p) with a fire at one end and a fool at the other" and somehow he never got fed up saying that

Aww, they are great words of wisdom!
Nothing wrong with a push in the right direction! Xxx
Your poem is very powerful Linda, and very true as well!!

And my dad was very keen on pushing me away from the fags - it might have taken a long time but in the end it worked too, one of the reasons I quit was 'cos I had to keep going outdoors for a smoke, just like he hoped!!
Thoughts are things. Whatever we believe and whatever we say to ourselves is what we become. Thinking about missing smoking will eventually transform into smoking. Thinking about how much you love being a nonsmoker (especially when you feel otherwise) will tranform you into a lasting nonsmoker.

Positive thoughts peeps!
Does that come from the book I've hopefully got waiting for me?
Found this just now, and thought it was worth sharing
“The moment you stop smoking, everything that goes wrong in your life is blamed on the fact that you’ve stopped smoking. Now when you have a mental block, instead of just getting on with it you start to say, ‘If only I could light up now, it would solve my problem.’ You then start to question your decision to quit smoking.” - Allen Carr
It's true 'cos we think that smoking will solve problems whe it won't, it just creates more

A positive attitude is your most important tool to quit and stay quit. Maintaining a positive attitude will help you have a sense of humor about the quit process, will help you deal with stress in new ways, it will help make your quit easier.
