Haven't logged on here in AGES...so good to see familiar faces
Anyone else still around from Oct 2011 quit crew?
Just seen a post about if it is necessary to hate cigarettes for a successful quit - and there was one post about achieving indifference...and that is where I am now - totally indifferent to it which I never thought I would get to
I will admit that there are still occassions when I think - 'ooo, a ciggie would be good right now' - but those are becoming increasingly rare and literally last seconds and is in no way a crave - just a random thought passing through.
Glad to see so many people giving up - it's is so the best thing you'll ever do!

And there we have it. Fellie, this isn't the reply you were looking for so please forgive my interjection. That was my thread, I had a couple of nerves based on things I'd heard or read. I flagged them on this forum, asked the questions, and got many opinions and the voice of experience back. And yours is spot on too - it sums up my desired future state - indifferent to smoking and I'm getting ever closer.
Well done for quitting, thanks for dropping by and I hope those from 'your time' post too. This is what people on this forum can do to support without even realising it.
I don't know why I checked in here today!! But I did and saw your thread!
Hey Fellie, fellow October quitter 2011.....how are you? So glad to see you're still quit and doing so well.
Man...you've hit it on the spot. I too feel totally indifferent to smoking. No way would I ever go back to smoking and amazingly I just don't know why I did smoke for 17 years of my life! I look back and think "what was I thinking?"...."why?". "Why did I think smoking was so important?". LOL it seems so ridiculous now.
Life is good and I do not miss smoking at ALL. I sometimes think about it but when I do, I shudder......lol what a dumbass I was. Anyway, keep looking in now and again kiddo.
To everyone struggling it does get better and better!....I know some people say that you will always get the odd craving now and again but I say....pants to that. I think about it sometimes but never want one. I think the people that do have that odd thought for wanting a cigarette...maybe just maybe....didn't truly want to give it up or felt they had to rather than they wanted to. Well I did want to give up and never want to smoke again.
Love to all, especially all the October 2011 stoppers.
