Hi Boss

I am very close behind you on my quit, 25 days.

Nearly all the symptoms you have described in this post and previous I have had also. I don't just get pains in the calves but in the arms, elbows too, my nose is very tender with I assume ingrowing hairs or something, I am extremely tired all the time, and I feel really rough. I have every intention of staying quit and don't know how long this rough patch will last but we need to keep going as it is surely going to get better with time :D

Phew...I am obviously not happy that you are going through these symptoms I am just happy you can relate to me and that I am not imagining things, the appalling tiredness is still with me and my nose is hard to describe but sounds just like yours, tender but with no obvious signs of trauma...I have not gone through this misery to give up now so hopefully the doctor can help me next week...i will definately let you know how I get on :)

Thanks Boss, I await your answers from said Dr. This is my first quit, so not sure if all the symptoms I am feeling are normal, as most people post that they feel better, and I don't. I'm also getting teenage spots:eek: when I Am clearly not a teenager. I know what you mean about being glad someone else is having a rough time of it, as it kind of makes it normal :) We will get through this together.

Cheers Jane...I am full of acne too hahahaha..I feel like I am 14 again...very weird to say the least, I have had a couple of quit buddies fall by the way on here sadly but I am up for the long haul if you are ;)

Boss and Jane - nothing like that for me I'm afraid, but it could be related to an improvement in circulation, your cardiovascular system suddenly springing to life? I've no idea actually, but it's plausable? I do however have a couple of spots, and that's entirely down to diet as Max has said - too many boost bars and mccoys beef flavoured crisps!

I think it takes a surprisingly long time for our bodies to get used to the new world, but whatever happens, the benefits of quitting more than compensate for any temporary downside effects I'm convinced. I'll take a couple of zits and achy limbs for a few weeks for sure!

Doing well guys, keep it up!:)

Hey Boss, I'm in it for the long haul, that's for certain, it will take a lot more that aching limbs, spots, sore noses, tiredness to make me quit my quit.

Thanks Max and Hawkeye for your kind words.

Hi BD

Might be throwing a curved ball here but .... I have just had a virus of some sort...not massively cold or flu .... but on Wednesday night I could hardly walk.

My legs felt like lead...like I'd been on the bike for hours...when I hadn't been anywhere near it.

Spoke to a few guys in work who are all sniffling away and they felt the same, not as bad, but still aching and sore.

Maybe you got ??

It'll pass anyway whatever it is I'm sure.

Keep going mate, I'm routing for you

Take care

Greg

:)

Hi Dean, I would go and get this checked out with your GP. Just to be on the safe side. It probably is nothing but I still think you should get it checked out.

It will also put your mind at rest because you could mention all your other symptoms too.:)
