40 Days and Nights

Last April, 2012, I published a post called 40 Days and Nights. Here's what I had to say:

I've completed 40 days and 40 nights of smoke-free living since my quit back in March. That seems like a good day to view as a milestone.

After all, the Bible says it rained 40 days and 40 nights after Noah built the ark. Moses spent 40 days on the mount. Jesus fasted for 40 days in the wilderness.

While I'm not a particularly religious man, I do find it fascinating that 40 days is so prevalent in the Bible.

At the very least, having lived smoke-free for 40 days and nights, I have something to celebrate!

At that point, I had quit for 40 days, and was 325 days from the Penthouse.

Tonight, it's the exact opposite. I've quit for 325 days, and now there's only 40 days and nights until they hand me the Penthouse keys!

Taking nothing for granted, but I think I might actually make it! :)

Wow that's brilliant DGee, only 40 days to go, you're definitely going to make that final push - 40 days will seem so quick at the end of a quit!!

Just been checking me spreadsheet. 236 days now for me, and £1675 better off.
