Well I didn't think (after what feels like all those years ago and only yesterday!!) I would have made it to month 2.
So am I allowed in?
......He says gingerly peeping through the crack in the door of the month 2 room.....

Thank you to everyone that has helped me get this far
Got to keep going, baby steps and never look back
Take care all
Greg
Cant wait to join you guys in month 2, I make me feel batter to check your posts to show how it can be done. You are 5 days ahead, but in this game thats can be a long long time.....
A big well done to us all eh? Never looked this far ahead when I quit but have to admit its been plain sailing really once the first 7-10 days were out the way.
Hope to see you all in the 3 mth club..........I,ll be there 17thDec.......
I'm here 28days in maybe not on 2mths ad quit on 17th but needed too cheer my self up especially after the weight gain,
I'm off work the wk end so mite start jogging hopefully that will stop to much weight gain
Hark at me Moaning on sorry Greg great to be back with u
Cucumber sarnies only if the crusts cut off and tea in a china cup with pinky up right pmsl
Well done Greg, Sian xx
Honestly Sian,
Dont worry about the weight .... it will settle down when we settle in to our new non-smoking lives.
I started exercising 2 months before I quit, cycling and exercise bike, and the weight absolutely dropped off me
I didn't eat less I just ate "better", more fruit and veg, less breads and pies .... although I am really partial to a pie!!
I lost 1.5 stone in 2 months
I may be putting a little more on now (as my metabolism slows down during the quit) but I am confident it will begin to drop and level again when I settle.
I am still doing my cycling and exercise bike so I don't get out of the habit ... if you know what I mean
Quitting is at THE TOP of our agenda, not a little bit of extra puppy fat
Hope you are enjoying month 2 ... get that pinky up!! what what what what!
Of course the crusts are cut off chuck, it's the only way to serve a cucumber sandwich .... and cut in to tiny little squares!
Here's to the Grange Hill Mob!
Take care
Greg
(mind you my Grange Hill was in the late 70's and 80's .... so I don't know any of the young-uns!!)
It is actually now enjoyable to have a beer without having to smoke. I think my addictive brain is slowly distinguishing the difference between my drugs of choice!
Gordon Bennett that sounded heavy even to me and I'm a Pink Floyd fan!!
Chortle! Titter!
Kazz, think of that name and get your posse together it's proving a real help to me. Or join us we're quite house trained don't you know!!
I'm a red bloode male but I must now confess to the world that I'm actually loving Strictly!!
There ....... I've gone and said it! Now I feel free! hehe!
Sian, not sure where Cymru is, obviously absent without leave! Hopefully having a ball somewhere, court marshall in the morning!!
Glad you had a good night Greg, you're right having a drink without a smoke is getting easier....and the hangovers are nowhere near as bad!
I suspect you're not the only guy who likes Strictly....many pretend they only watch it because their other half makes them but secretly they love it!
I have set up a November quitters group, just need to round folk up now, mind you I might joing yours as well, I mean what's a few days between friends?!
I think Victoria was definitely better on the bike! Strictly is just perfect light hearted hibernation telly, what's not to like? Something for everyone....
As for the sequins, well if you want to bling yourself up who are we to stop you?!
