Day 14 - I have a question

I have developed a really metallic sensation in my mouth! Its more noticable on the bits I have chewed.

Is this a side effect of NRT or quitting generally?

I'm not sure Hun, could be that you taste buds are coming alive and sending out wrong tastes at mo???

I only ever had metallic taste when I was in early stages of pregnancy xx

Sorry Rach, I dont know either? Probably as Sian says your taste buds coming back to life. I knoe that Una said she thought everything tasted awful but that is all I know.

Hazel is right. Everything tasted horrible for weeks. Doc said it was because the smoke used to kill the bacteria. She gave me some medicine and it cleared up quickly. Wish I'd gone to see her sooner because it I thought everything tasted as if it had gone off.

I also had a metallic taste in my mouth after 2 weeksish, it didnt last long(a couple of days) I used warmwater and salt mouthwash to combat it, I was recommended corsydol mouthwash but it really is harsh on the mouth and even worse if you have sesitive teeth.

Ohhh I use Corsodyl as a matter of course but ran out about 2 weeks ago lol. I shall replace it

I had this too. It has gone now but I now have a taste and smell like raw cheap pork sausages, really sick making. I think that may be what people smell like, but I hope not.
