Hi all, i've been quit for four weeks and a few days and so proud of it too.:) I am done with that habit and wont go back. I went out last weekend and had a couple drinks and i was really tempted to go out and just have that one, but wouldnt give in. I really think that was a test i needed to be honest with u...I know how to handle when the urge happens like that and i just remind myself of what i went through to get here and then that urge quickly goes away...:)

The only thing i find uncomfortable so far is that i have been having some really weird stomach pains and i am hoping they go away soon,,,Other then that feeling great..

Thanks for reading and i wish everyone well with their quit.

Oh very well done mp96 :) It's a great thing you are doing and I am glad you have a month under your belt. I think if your pains persist you might see your doc and ask his advice. Are you taking Champix? I blamed anything different on them ....

Nice to hear how you dealt with the temptation when out for a drink. Well done

hi

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I am not using Champix and now not using anything. I was using the patch for a couple days when i immediately quit but got real sick so stopped them. I ended up going through a hell week or two but got through it and honestly scared the jitters out of me. I never knew that this habit was this bad to quit...Anyhow, for the young people who do smoke, i hope they read these posts on this forum, so they understand what they are getting themselves into when they decide to smoke. I always knew that smoking was bad on the body, but never did understand that when i would decide to quit it was going to be hell for a week or two. Anyhow, ill stop that here.

About the stomach pains they are going away slowly i think and not so bad today. Im not sure if its because i quit smoking or cause i sit alot at my job and yes i do agree i should get that looked at by a doctor if it continues.

Thanks again everyone and again best of luck with you're quit.
