Oooh it is nice to treat yourself! I dont know about the spicy food as I dont do spicy but most people struggle after a meal in the early days.... Keep it going it just gets easier and easier.
Yes, thinking of a cig after a nice meal, well we all just know what that's like!
It gets better though.
And yes, I have deliberately used my no smoking money every week (I'm on week 6). So far, Ive treated myself to a nice top in a shop where I usually can't afford! I've bought a teeth whitening voucher. Vax Steam Cleaners, paid for my hard up Student sons Road Tax, Oh and a partridge in a pear tree.
Struggled after tea tonight, ....... curry...had a strong crave after it.
Maybe this is a silly question but .... is it worse after spicy food?!?!?
Went to Kendal today with my wife and it seemed to go really well.
Driving for quite a while and wandering about the shops...
Mind you....its was "treat time"
I spent a silly amount on a new cycle!!
Won't be ready for a month or so but can't wait!!!
Like a kid at Christmas.
Has anybody else treated themselves to something nice yet?
Cheers
Greg
Good post! I've decided to save half my monthly ciggy spend and treat myself to a nice watch when I reach 1 year quit. Never really felt justified spending money on myself like that. It's funny considering how much I've spent ruining my health.
I went out for a curry on the night of day 1, the thought of a smoke after the meal gave me butterfly's but it didn't last more than a minute. I guess the champix damps down most of my real cravings though??
Congrats on day 5, and making it through the weekend!!!!
Keep it going, Greg...you seem to be doing really well...smoke after a curry was sort of mandatory for me...so know what you went through...stay strong.....I suffered a bit today but determined to make it into week 2 tomorrow.
