Mornings are still absolute crap as I try to think of ways to change a routine I've had for 20 odd years but any day without smoking is a good day no matter what the challenges.
I wouldn't say that each day is better than the previous one but taking it a day at a time means I won 't allow myself to fall into the compare and contrast game, leading to self-pity and on to the 'sod it I'm having one' mind-set.

Well done on keeping a positive mind and you seem to be thinking very clearly
yep smoking any amount of years is going to take a while to get out of the habit of automatically thinking there is something missing but you will get there by taking one day at a time and not trying to think too far ahead
you will wake up in the not so distant future and go a whole day without even thinking of smoking :eek: its true i kid you not
