In bed last night and about 3 clock woke up really needing a pee.. (sorry but this is how the story starts)
Really didn't want get up as I was lovey and warm but I new I Wudnt be able go back slept if I didn't.. So jumped up ran down stairs (my bathrooms down stair ) did wot I needed do ran back up stairs then back into bed.
Then it hit me.. I'm breathing normaly.. When iv done the mad dash before iv got in bed with my heart beating fast and out of breath just from running down some stairs. So Carnt belive when I was smoking how unfit I was.
It's brillent when u realise something better in ur self from giving up. Makes all the bad cravings and horrid symptoms seem worth it.

Certainly does Shelley and you have stopped yound enough for it to be a real benefit to you. You will soon see how fit you become if you carry on running. You will recover from runs quicker and beable to run for longer. You wouldnt be able to do that if you were still smoking. Good for you, you deserve it! I bet you have inspired loads of people on this forum for your sheer determination. I am in awe of you. xxx

I know exactly how you feel Shelley. The realisation that you haven't had to stop to catch your breath and that your heart's not pounding to get out.....just amazing!
I feel like I have a new set of internal organs!! Lol! Dare I say, it's a Wicked feeling!
Well done hun with your quit, you're doing brilliantly, keep going...
Well done, I to am amazed at how I can do things again. Even with the Emphsema, I have better endurance. I am swimming every day for an hour. I take it slow but its better than sitting on my arse doing nothing and it helps get muscles in tone and the lungs get a workout (badly needed) to get oxygen back in them. I am also most ready to get back into walking the dogs...ppat
