Hi all

This is my third quit in two years. I quit for five months in 2011 and then for six weeks in 2012 until my beloved cat died and started again.

Its now my third time lucky and today is day one. I want to get to over the six month mark and then take it month by month then.

Have been reading the forum and it is so motivating, will be checking in each day!

Lucy

Thank you all.

So far so good today, really didn't get too many cravings. Its not the first few days or weeks which are bad for me but after a month or so I get really bad craves - this time instead of giving in I'll use this forum!

Really determined this time.

Well done Lucy :). This is my second serious quit and I quit for nearly 6 months last time til something shook my world apart. I haven't had a cigarette since 8pm last night, and apart from a few niggles, am generally feeling quite good about it. This forum really helped me last time, so stick with it x

As someone else from your neck of the woods it would be remiss of me not to send my encouragement, Lucy!

You can do this. Clear, calm and focussed is the way ahead... :)

Good luck Lucy!

Like me you've beaten it before and WILL do again. How can an expensive white stick of poison rule our lives?

Fight hard!! for the enemy is indeed strong.

I'm on day 2 of quit attempt 21 (honestly!) One quit lasted for almost 9 years!

Anyway, here I go again, with a re-newed will power based on the thought that there must be something better I can spend €1500 per year on!!

Bye from a very hot, as yet smokeless, Gozo.

Good Luck - I've been a serial on-again-off-again for three years (6 months, 4 months, 7 months quit). This one has been weird and I've had a couple of stumbles but I'm determined to push through wiht this one!

Remember how awful this first week is and ask yourself "do I want to do this again!"
