So, I've got my appointment with my smoking cessation nurse late on Wednesday morning. Do I tell her about my "little blip"?
It was either day 16 or 17 when I had a couple of the wife's fags in a weak moment after one too many drinks - something I immediately regretted and have since used it as a spur to keep on keeping on.
I think that I should tell her. Honesty being the best policy and all that. Just talk it through, get it off me chest and then move on to the Month 1 forum next week...
Thoughts, good people?

I've had a couple of slips - both times after a drink. However I won't be buying any, even though I'm having a really crappy day today. And yes, it's not even 10am!

Thank you Ginger and Alex for taking the time to reply.
Well, I've been and had another very positive meeting with the cessation nurse. We've reinforced all the positive aspects of my quit and didn't dwell too long on the negative. She said to look at it this way - if I hadn't quit I would have smoked around 400 cigarettes in the last four weeks (eek!), as it is I had two in a weak moment. In the whole scheme of things it's no big deal as long as I turn the negative (the two fags) round to a positive (I haven't had 398!) and use that as I move forward.
I've read elsewhere that some have had a poor experience using the NHS Cessation Programme. That's such a shame because I'm finding it invaluable - I know it's only a fifteen minute chat but I'm coming away from the meeting feeling really good about myself and confident as I look forward to the weeks and months ahead.
Good to hear it all went well for you. It sounds like the nurse is sensible and sensitive enough to address your questions / needs.
I guess it all really depends on the individual nurse and the expectations you have of that person going in to the process. You seem to have found the right balance.
