Just wanted to ask if anyone had been sick whilst quitting. I had my tea last night poached egg on toast after the last mouthful i ran to the toilet and threw up :(

I wasnt feeling sick before or after it dont know if my new tastebuds are objecting to eggs or if this is a side effect of stopping smoking

In all my quits i have never threw up due to quitting. It's not really a thing associated with quitting i don't think. Hopefully it's just a one off and it was a dodgy egg.

I never heard of this type of reaction either from quitting smoking. I hope it was a once-off.

Possibly it was just the poached egg.

However there are a few physical side-effects surrounding recovery from stopping smoking which we can suffer such as: headaches, cold symptoms, sweating, hands and feet tingling....and also stomach cramps and/or nausea.

Our bodies do re-balance but it takes around 2 to 3 months for this to happen. Don't be put off by that as it's a much healthier state of affairs than daily poisoning through smoking.
