Why I like High Noon

At noon, I'm half-way through the day, which is great when I glance at my quit meter on my phone. I'm already at x days, 12 hours, and x minutes.

Just thought I'd share that. :cool:

Good point mash. In the beginning of the quit, it's important to keep remembering how well the quit is going, not in an obsessive way, but more as a congratulatory reminder that we have achieved something great!

Day one might seem like an eternity, day 2 a lifetime, day 3 takes years to go by, week1 is like from here back to the stone age... until we get to the point where we don't really count any more, except to remind ourselves that we have come a long way, and don't want to have to re-live the experience.

quit time

I never did it by the hour, just by the day. And now I'm doing it by the week, and I am at the point where I've forgotten where I'm at (I'm actually half way through my seventh week). But although I feel like I'm never going to smoke again, I also feel like crap, really down in the dumps day after day, just existing one day into the next. And I'm wondering how long it's actually going to be like this, and whether it's really worth it?

it is worth it. this feeling of being down in the dumps sounds familiar to me, it does pass though. its all part of the letting go of an addiction , same as a bereavement really. just my opinion though.
