Hi well I am back again after numerous attempts, I have tried all ways to quit lasted a week or two,longest quit nine months.So this time I am trying something that I thought I would never try.

Cold Turkey,and this is day three, and do you know it as not been to bad.

I am really surprised I thought I would have been tearing my hair out, but no.

I know I have a long way to go yet.

Hi David, yes I am like the bad penny.

But I am quite surprised this time maybe doing it cold turkey will work for me.I have tried everything else so fingers crossed.

All the best with your new quit, pretty soon it will join up with all the others and you may discover that you prefer non-smoking to smoking. It took a few attempts for lots of us, Till the penny dropped

I'm on my 3rd day as well and I've also had previous quit attempts - 4 months and 9 months respectively.

Don't think I could do CT - I'd probably end up in jail but its great that its working well for you.

Nice to see there is someone else on the forum with same quit date as me Haven't seen many other new quitters. Guess not many people chose to quit over a holiday. I'll look out for your posts and maybe we can help each other over the bumps!!!

Welcome back.

I too after many attempts with patches/inhalers gave up Cold Turkey. The first few weeks were the hardest but then it got a lot better. Here I am a year and 3 months later and I could never imagine smoking again. I don't even think about it anymore. Good Luck

Oh thank you louiza,that does make me feel better.

I am on day four trying to keep busy and mind occupied as the evening comes I do start to relax more so hopefully I will continue in the same frame of mind.I have tried everything but this so I am going to give my all.
