Hey Jack

Yes, 2 and a half years for us Octoquitters

Some journey eh! :)

Even now, for me at least and this far along, this quit can still have it's moments. No danger in being tripped up unexpectedly but passing wants still .... very occasionally pass. But pass they do and no longer test the resolve in a way which more than momentarily wobbles. Any decision to smoke now would be a cold calculated decision and not an excuse looked for and blamed on.

OH still smoking in the house which I find unpleasant, esp when in the kitchen and food is being prepared

See you in October and our 3rd year. THIRD YEAR

2 1/2 years, can't believe it.... But still not lost that bet Jack and glad to see you are hanging in there too

May next week and, like me you have a very special birthday coming up.

Enjoy Jack. Great to hear from you.

Was great to read those posts guys, can`t believe we have got this far, we are brilliant........

Like Pol I still have the odd real crave, would find it very hard if OH smoked I must say.

My OH doing well, on 8th month of chemo and been a long hard slog, but you want a reason not to smoke, come with me every month to oncology...

All good wishes and love to you all

Just popped in to the forum for the first time in ages. Lovely to see a post from our Octoquitters. Dee, hope you husband is keeping strong.

I can agree with the occasional urge - not so much an urge, more of a 'Oh, I could just have a quick puff....' moment, which soon passes.

On very very weird thing though, is that I still smoke in my dreams. I often wake up wondering why I started smoking again only to realise I haven't.

*clears throat (which is really easy now not a smoker)*

THE most successful quit group I believe

The cameraderie in the group really was just beyond excellent.

Sue ... great to see you post and know all is well. Very odd that your still dreaming of smoking though.

Lorna ... such fond memories of the wine and cushions times xx

Dee ... I owe you an email. So hoping all is bright for you and hubby. In your area cycling the Coast 2 Coast in mid Sept. We owe each other a large wine with a face to face meet

MCW ... crazy cats and great choons, as always ;)

:D WOW :D

what a great post from the quitters of the octoquitters09

its brill to see you all still going strong and still on your guard against the nicotine demon that lives within :eek:as long as the thought of smoking doesnt turn into an action then that thought will just fade away

onwards and upwards is the only way to go :)
