Well I made it to day 2 and already I feel so much better - did anyone else have trouble sleeping after day 1 - had an awful night's sleep last night?

______

Quit Date - 30/03/12

Method - Patches and the odd lozenge

Reason - Cannot afford it!!

Whilst everyone has different physical reactions to quitting, many, many people have some or all of the following...

A temporary period of sleep disruption (possibly as long as 1-2 months or more)

Constipation

Weight gain

Bleeding gums

Feelings of loss, depression, restlessness, boredom and bad temper etc.

There are probably more, but these are common and nothing to worry about in the short term.

Just keep going Looney. I am still not back to sleeping properly, but it is still worthwhile for the other benefits. :)

Good Afternnon BillyO I'm sure we've spoke before, I really like your description as to why you quit exact same as my own. As my hospital treatment for a suspected heart attack went on, I new the writing was on the wall regards the weed and Michael. I reckon that the hospital is trying to say something to you when they send the smoking cessation advisor to your bedside. In the end I was diagnosed with Angina and am being treated with a concoction of pills and will be for the rest of my natural for the angina.

Happy to see that your progressing well, myself I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow lunch time. I can say that with a degree of confidence as I'm really ejoying being nicotine free.

Keep on keeping on Billy and I'll do the same.

You must suffer from constipation because you are full of sh*t.

Why are you replying to almost every thread?

No doubt it's because you are trying to get the information in your signature to flood the board.

You didn't reply to every thread before though did you.

You haven't suffered from any of them because you are still taking nicotine, just by a different method.

Flooding the board is ruining it for everyone else but hey, you don't care do you.

Yep, Capitan,

I have all of those at the 2 week stage.

A temporary period of sleep disruption (possibly as long as 1-2 months or more)

Constipation

Weight gain

Bleeding gums

Feelings of loss, depression, restlessness, boredom and bad temper etc.

Par for the course though, and I can't see it being relieved by snus

so I go with the flow, or not flow as the case may be :D, so just enjoying being :-

TOBACCO AND NICOTINE FREE :D:cool:

Well said capitan, hehe!! I'm glad you mentioned the bleeding gums bit because I was wondering what was going on when my toothpaste froth turned red! I'm starting to view it as an experiment, a "hmm, what wierd physical symptom will I have today??" and just go with the flow ....I have been shocked at getting ALL those symptoms you mentioned and the fact that they have all been caused by stopping smoking (still on patches, though, so still getting some nicotine) - it shows what a physical grip smoking has on the human body! SCARY!!!!
