I know it reeks. And I know that I can't even smell it as easily as others who don't smoke.
So, as I quit today (the 14th) how long before my apartment doesn't stink anymore, and how long until my own sense of smell returns?
Thanks.

Hi DGee
Firstly congratulations on your quit!
I found my sense of taste and smell coming back from about day 3, and it seems to be improving each day.
Good luck with your quit
Hello, and congratulations on quitting!
It doesn't take long for your sense of smell to return - I was just astonished at the difference I noticed after only a week or so, I was like a flipping bloodhound! Food tastes better too. The downside is that you really do smell everything, and it's not all good. So I would recommend combining your quit with a bit of a spring clean - wash curtains and cushion covers etc, febreze your carpets. Because man, the smell of a smoker's house does linger!!
It'll give you something to do to keep your mind off the cravings too. Win win!
Happy quitting,
Helen
