Hope you quit again Dolly. Tell you what - if you quit we'll let you look throughout the windows of the Penthouse when we're in there. Might even be able to sneak you a drink or two. Good luck Dolly
Hello everyone it's nice to join the January Quitters. I'm feeling ecstatic right now. It' been hard getting here and sometimes thought I would never get through week 1!! The hardest part for me has been when i've felt a bit down. Honestly I would feel like crying at anything!! So i've walked and walked and walked. My two dogs are losing weight lol I still feel down now and then but it's less often. It's easier when I'm in work so I've changed my routine when I'm at home. Instead of waking up,having 3 brews and six cigs I now jump straight in the shower and go for a long brisk walk.
I really believe that changing my routine and keeping myself busy has got me through. Also this forum has been the best thing ever. Just reading that others are feeling the same as you and managing to cope and when i've needed help it's always been there thanks everyone
Also glad to see that Laineylou's dogs are getting the benefits of not smoking. I hear the Penthouse allows pets - we'll get them some juicy bones for our celebration.
Wow, what an achievement for everyone!! I can't quite believe I've made it this far, it's been tough at times but to be honest thought it would be much tougher. I'm off patches and inhalator now, feeling good but don't want to start getting complacent about it cos I've heard of loads of people who have quit for months and then somethings made them start again, so need to stay on top and make sure no slips!!
