Good evening everyone!

Hope you are all ok! Well going to give it another go tomorrow and doing it with nothing just me and some mints lol. Any advice on cravings? x

Just keep busy!! Do other stuff u enjoy. I didn't get cravings after day 6, :) oh and good luck

Good luck LC29!

I found that when I had a bad craving, simulating the breathing you do when smoking really helped.

Take a really deep breath (like taking a long, deep draw), hold it for a second or two (like you did when you inhaled) and then slowly breathe out (like you did when you exhaled).

Do it a few time if necessary, it really does help me :)

Hi all

thanks for that. Well im on to day 3 so far so good! although i have eat everything in the house so need to go shopping again! Had a really bad day yesterday, all i could think about was to go and buy some but i held back and stuck it out. I feel a lot more positive that i can do this today !!:D

Im not using anything just good old mints n chewing gum!:)

Well with the eating thing, apparently your brain gets the same signals from 'I am hungry' to 'I want/need a cig' so that's why we eat more when we try to stop. I'm just eating three substantial meals a day, trying to make them healthy ones, no snacking in between unless its fruit and then if I feel unsatisfied in the evenings just having an options hot choc sachet. Stopped having caffeine in the evenings too as I think this just makes us more confused.

Yes thats what I'm doing don't have any cravings or nothing today might have something to do with me not feeling very well!! The big test comes next weekend when my husband come home!!

I am feeling so much b ether for it though!!x

Thanks. Im the cravings are getting worse now! Just had tea and omg it was foul and i would have ate that! Think this week is going to be hard but hey ill get through it some way! Im really impressed with my self and went to do the reading again, last week it read 26 and this week it read 2! I'm so proud!!!

Still need to find something to take my mind off it!! xx

hey Lc take it one hour@atime one crave@ a time one day @a time. before u know it youve done 3 days then a week , month etc etc.

look a crave in the face see it for what it is ,withdrawal from nicotine and the addict in you wants to releive it. your not the addict cos you have chosen to quit the addict WILL catch up later and by that time hopefully u will be aserious quitter. the capitains advice is good each crave only lasts a few minutes. if you really want to know more about what cravings are really about check out my links and read . know your enemy and youl beat the blighter.
